Privacy Policy

GameCrew, LLC (“GameCrew,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a social platform that helps adults discover people and places to watch games together (the “App” or “Platform”). We take privacy seriously and want you to understand how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information.
This Privacy Policy applies to the App, our websites, emails, and any other online services that link to it (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to this Policy and our Terms of Service.
If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1) Key Definitions
Personal Information / Personal Data: Information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to a person or household.
Sensitive Personal Information (examples): precise geolocation; government IDs; financial account logins; communications content; health/biometric data; race/ethnicity; sexual orientation.
“Sale” / “Share” (CPRA): Disclosing personal information to a third party for money or for cross-context behavioral advertising (“targeted advertising”), respectively.
De-identified Data: Data that cannot reasonably be used to identify a person.
2) What We Collect
We collect information in three ways: (A) directly from you, (B) automatically via the App/SDKs, and (C) from third-party sources (if you choose to connect them).
A. Information You Provide
Account & Profile: name, username/handle, email, password, birthdate (18+ age check), profile photo(s), favorite teams and sports interests, short bio, city/ZIP and location preferences.
Content & Social: messages, group chats, event titles/descriptions, comments, reactions, media you upload, profiles you view or follow, friend/connection requests, RSVP status.
Contacts (optional): if you choose to upload/import your contacts or share referral links, we process identifiers (e.g., phone/email) to help you find friends.
Support & Safety: reports, appeals, photographs or screenshots you submit, and the substance of communications with support.
Payments (if enabled): limited transaction metadata via our payment processor(s) (we do not store full card numbers).
B. Information Collected Automatically
Device & App Info: device model, OS, app version, language, time zone, mobile network, identifiers (e.g., IDFA/AAID, Firebase Instance ID), crash and performance logs.
Usage & Interaction: screens viewed, taps, features used, time in app, events viewed or joined, who you message (metadata), referral/attribution info.
Location:
Precise (GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi) only if you enable it for features like showing nearby events/users.
Approximate (coarse) derived from IP or device settings.
You can disable location permissions at any time in your device settings. Core functionality may be limited without it.Cookies/SDKs on our sites/apps for authentication, analytics, security, and (if enabled in the future) advertising/attribution.
C. Information from Others
Third-party logins (if you connect): basic profile and verification info.
Partners: venue or event partners may share attendance confirmations or event metadata.
Reports: users can provide information about interactions with you for trust & safety.
We do not intentionally collect biometric identifiers, health data, or government IDs. Do not upload such information unless we specifically request it for verification and tell you why.
3) How We Use Information (Purposes & Legal Bases)
We process data to:
Provide the Services (create/manage accounts; show profiles/events; send messages; maintain friends/blocks; enable search/discovery). (Contract; Legitimate Interests)
Safety, Security & Integrity (detect spam/fraud; moderate content; enforce Terms and Community Guidelines; prevent harmful or illegal activity; secure our systems). (Legitimate Interests; Legal Obligations)
Recommendations & Personalization (suggest groups, events, bars/venues, and people you may know; adjust rankings). (Legitimate Interests; Consent where required)
Communications (transactional messages, reminders, updates, and—with your consent where required—marketing). (Contract; Legitimate Interests; Consent)
Analytics & Product Improvement (measure performance, fix bugs, develop new features, improve relevance). (Legitimate Interests)

Advertising/Attribution (Only if enabled later; see Section 6).
4) How We Disclose Information
We do not rent or sell your personal information. We disclose information in these situations:
Other Users/Visibility: Your profile (name/handle, teams/interests, city, photos, mutual connections) is visible to others. Content you post in groups/events is visible there. Messages are visible to participants.
Service Providers/Processors: Cloud hosting, analytics (e.g., Firebase), error logging, email/push, in-app support, content moderation vendors, and (if used) payment processors. They must follow our instructions and protect your data.
Business Transfers: During mergers, financing, or acquisition, data may be transferred subject to this Policy.
Legal/Trust & Safety: To comply with law or valid legal process; to protect users, our Services, or our rights; to investigate policy violations, abuse, or threats; to prevent fraud or security issues.
With Your Direction: When you use integrations, share a referral, or otherwise instruct us.
We may share aggregate or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be linked to you.
5) Cookies, SDKs, and Similar Technologies
We (and our vendors) use cookies, mobile identifiers, pixels, and SDKs for authentication, security, analytics, performance, and (if enabled later) advertising/measurement. You can control cookies via browser settings and mobile ad settings (IDFA/AAID resets). See Your Privacy Controls for opt-out options, including Global Privacy Control (GPC) for web.
6) Targeted Advertising; “Sale”/“Share” Under CPRA
As of the Last Updated date above, GameCrew does not “sell” or “share” personal information as defined by California law (including for cross-context behavioral advertising). If this changes, we will update this Policy, provide required “Do Not Sell or Share” links and in-app settings, and honor opt-out signals (including GPC where applicable).
You may still receive non-personalized or contextual promotions (e.g., recommended events near you).
7) Your Privacy Controls
Profile & Content: edit your profile, interests, and photos; delete posts/comments you control.
Location: enable/disable in device settings; use in-app controls where offered.
Notifications: control email, SMS, and push preferences.
Access/Copy/Correction/Deletion: request via in-app request flow or support@gamecrew.club
Data Portability: request a machine-readable export.
Opt-out of Marketing: use “unsubscribe” links or in-app settings.
Opt-out Signals (Web): we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) for sites we control.
Do Not Track: browsers’ “DNT” signals are not standardized; we do not respond to DNT, but we do honor GPC.
We may need to verify your identity (and your authorized agent, where applicable) before acting on a request. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision email; if you disagree with the appeal outcome, you may contact your state Attorney General or data protection authority.
8) Regional Disclosures & Rights
A. United States (State Laws incl. CA/CO/CT/VA/UT and others)
Depending on your state, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, appeal, and opt-out of targeted advertising, certain profiling, and “sale”/“share.” Use the in-app Privacy Center or email support@gamecrew.club with the subject “U.S. Privacy Request.” California residents may also use an authorized agent. We will not discriminate for exercising your rights.
Sensitive Personal Information: We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a “Right to Limit” under California law. If that changes, we will provide the required controls.
Shine the Light (CA): We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.
B. EEA/UK (GDPR)
Controller: GameCrew, LLC,
Legal Bases: contract, legitimate interests, consent, legal obligation (see Section 3).
Transfers: When transferring to the U.S. or other countries, we use approved safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).
Your GDPR Rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent without affecting prior processing. You can also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

9) Community Safety & User Responsibility
GameCrew is designed for adults 18+. You are responsible for the information you choose to share in profiles, chats, and events. Treat screenshots, re-shares, or in-person interactions as public. Use in-app reporting to flag problematic behavior. We may restrict or remove content or accounts that violate our Terms or Community Guidelines.
We may, in limited circumstances (e.g., imminent harm), contact law enforcement or emergency services consistent with applicable law.
10) Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes in this Policy or as required by law. Factors include account status, feature use, legal obligations, and dispute resolution. Illustrative schedule:

11) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures such as encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege administration, logging/monitoring, and vendor due diligence. No system is 100% secure. If we learn of a security incident affecting your information, we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by law.
12) Children’s Privacy
GameCrew is for 18+ only. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe someone under 18 is using the Services, contact support@gamecrew.club so we can take appropriate action.
13) International Users
By using the Services from outside the U.S., you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries with different data protection laws. We apply appropriate safeguards described above.
14) Third-Party Links & Services
Our Services may link to third-party websites, apps, or SDKs that we do not control. Their privacy practices govern their services. Review their policies before sharing information.
15) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and change the “Last Updated” date. If changes materially affect your rights or how we use your data, we will provide additional notice (e.g., in-app notice or email).

17) U.S. State-Specific Notices (Supplement)
California: We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as defined by the CPRA. We honor GPC for web. You have rights to know, access, delete, correct, opt-out, and limit sensitive information (where applicable). You may use an authorized agent.
Colorado/Connecticut/Virginia/Utah and others: You may have rights to opt-out of targeted advertising and certain profiling, and to access, correct, delete, and appeal decisions. Use the in-app Privacy Center or email us.
Nevada: We do not sell “covered information” as defined by Nevada law.
We will update this section as more state laws take effect.
18) Additional Information
De-identified Data: We maintain and use de-identified data without attempting to re-identify it, except to test de-identification processes.
Automated Decision-Making: We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects using solely automated processing. If we introduce such features, we will disclose them and your rights.
Financial Incentives: We currently offer no programs that treat consumers differently in exchange for data. If we introduce one, we will describe the material terms and how to opt in/out.
Data Maps/SDK List: We will maintain a current list of major SDKs/sub-processors and their purposes in the in-app Privacy Center or on our website.
